Just use Google translate for the henntec site. He is actually on this board so you could PM him
I think I have the earlier ones so the second would be the improved ones. Best to contact Guido on this

Love the Sherman and Panzer really cool, very well done. Love it!Rad_Schuhart wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 7:31 pm Yes, I mean the spare tracks. Give some dry brushing with another colour, like grey, or dark metal, or even rust. It will look much better and will take you seconds.
Thanks for the kind words about the tank. It looks OK, but not entirely happy with its reialiability, so I dont use it too much.. I installed the Henntec tensioner years ago, and I cannot remember if I had to drill something. If I am not mistaken I vaguely remember enlarging some holes I already had.
From all the toys that you can see in my website, the one I use the most is the Sherman: https://radindustries.wordpress.com/201 ... erman-105/ followed by the Panzer IV: https://radindustries.wordpress.com/202 ... r-iv-zorn/

I think Taigen has like one or two kits, but mostly deal in RTR. Pretty much everything else outside of Tamiya is RTR, although I think Hooben has a couple of kits, but I’ve seen mixed reviews on the quality of them.
I think you can get a lot of them unpainted, if thats your thing.

There are about 30 I'd consider "masters" on this hobby in 16th stuff. I am not in the ranks of that group. Thank you for the "cheers" but there are so many ahead of myself in this hobby (I feel I should be ranked 2 millionth). I am not looking for defenders but give credit to all those who have walked before us...

I'd safely say that the things we do today have been pioneered by those before us without the luxury of 3D printers, RTR tanks, upgraded entry level boards, and access to everything resin-stowage that we take for granted now !
Those folks laid the path for us to follow.

I’m another who lurks on here and gleans information, asks dumb questions, takes ideas and inspiration from others who have pioneered techniques. What ever problem you have, someone, will have encountered the same thing and solved it. This is why I love this site, you get sensible answers and genuine help, unlike the drama queens over on FB.

Buy a Challenger, just the basic all plastic one, as you will be throwing most of it away. It will keep you occupied for ages, and you skill set will escalate exponentially. You will end up with almost a hand built tank, and you will wonder why you struggled with a Tamiya kit. There is not enough modern stuff being built.Michael151722 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 1:35 am Next tank need to save and go to Japan and see what they have preferably Challenger or Abrams. Or might go for a RC Tractor lol![]()

I prefer entirely hand built and than painted so I guess Tamiya is the only option than, but I have seen something like this tho and manual shows a lot of assembly am I rightJib wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 6:19 am I think Taigen has like one or two kits, but mostly deal in RTR. Hello Mate I checked out your website and loved your basement diorama set up could you detail how you did it and how large of an area is needed and materials used? Also in a basement I am not the person to run my RC all the time maybe once a month how do you prevent dust from gathering, and how to make a smoke generator. Sorry for all the questionsRad_Schuhart wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2024 8:05 pm Good point. I also hanged tracks, but spare tamiya tracks that a friend gave me. I had no idea about the manganese thing, makes sense!
