oops sorry folks, a bit bleary eyed of me by the looks.
Yeah thats a work pic. Cooling gas system for the Laser cutter machine I was working on.
Had an issue with gas pressure causing an error, turned out to be a stuck solenoid valve .
Apparently the new type of you-beaut upgraded solenoid is not as reliable as the version they replaced !!

Herman, I don't know if that third picture was intended as I didn't see a mention of it in your narrative. BUT! I'm intrigued, I see pneumatics, liquid cooling, solenoids, rheostats and a big ole honking motor. What the heck is that?
Glad you asked. I thought it was a new type of BB unit he was installing.
Wait, Herman... I thought that was the smoke system for the super secret 1:6 scale Jawa Sandcrawler we were developing for our dogs?

Well now Hr Proff, I can bust out a good cloud of girl repellent at times, but these lasers run some wild pressures and cut thru all material up to 40mm with pinpoint accuracy.
I’m a long way from the Kansas world of drilling for gas now TinMan !!
This Dorothy is relearning a whole new universe of f-wittery & costly failures.

Im calling the dazzler almost done. Still to add a cover plate for it.
Compromising extreme accuracy for a degree of RC practicality and robustness, I wound solder wire around the body using gel super glue all the way.
While not a perfect replica of the small welds around the shell in pictures, its going to be close enough and should withstand any handling or in this case, postage brutality.
I used brass channel to carry the shell, again using gel super glue to keep it in place, and brass square & channel to represent the vibration dampers on the mount.
The dazzler turned out great, and being mostly metal and Heng Long plastic it should be near bulletproof.
A quick vid of a similar machine. Not one of ours, but we have 2 of these as well as other versions
You're gonna have to borrow one from work and send it down here for... research. So I can graduate from 3D printing and start making tanks out of metal.

I would have thought these would have been better?IMG_4682.png

Hmm, looking for commitment ?.........guess Ive committed to the rubber guards then .
Plan to reuse the joiner plates to go over the sections where they separate.
If this goes wrong, I have a spare tank to recover the hull from so Mr Mithras doesn’t pay the price for misguided folly !!
