She's landed! Arrived from Toucan US warehouse. Has metal everything except shock absorbers. 360 turret. Function tested perfectly. (Unfortunately the extra battery has Tamayia connector.)

While charging the battery I read the instruction booklet for the controller, and have questions.

Questions:
  • What is the "fine-tuning" they refer to in items 3 & 4?
  • Does #17 (BB Launching) basically mean it will "fire" but not expel a projectile?
  • Does #19 & 20 swap the sticks so turret on right stick and drive on left? Do many people run it that way?
  • What is #22 "Reduce/Increase Turning Circle" mean? and how is it different from "self-rotate speed" in #21 (which I assume is neutral steering / turn in place)?
  • What is #26 "Super self-rotate switch" and how does it relate/differ to/from turning circle and self-rotate speed? (Items #21 and #22)
  • How does one change the engine sound (assuming it is possible).

Many thanks,

Cool on new tank
3+4 are like trims if the tanks creeping forward or the esc's are singing/humming with stick at nuetral position adjust as in 3
if the tank isnt going straight and is say turning left with steering at neutral then adjust as in 4 ie give it a bit right trim
19+20 yes i think so
26 is to do with spinning the tank in place
21+22 is turning whilst moving tightening or opening up the turning circle
as for the engine sounds on my tanks theres 2 to choose from and it is in the instructions how to do it somewhere cant remember offhand
Cheers

Yay, Stormbringer: your answers explain well. I would add that "26...spinning the tank in place" is a spinning turn that HengLong and other manufacturers seem to like. However, if I recall correctly (the big "IF" in my case) the real Pershings (and other US WWII tanks) could not actually do such a tight maneuver. The tracks could be differentially braked, but did not operate with one track running forward and one reversed.

My research indicates that indeed the M26 was incapable of neutral turn/pivot by placing one track in reverse, and the opposite in forward.
