Hey Guys,

Tired of doing the Aber and I really don't like the look of the Mitosal/Impact wingnuts. Anyone got another source???

Hi, "SCHUMO" make a nice set of Wingnuts/Butterfly nuts, they are unfortunately no more practical than the Impact/Mitosol versions, and whilst they have a better look they are no cheaper.
I chase the thread of my Mitosol Wingnuts using a "ROLSON" tap & die set so at least they are a practical working example. I see no reason why you couldn't do the same to the "SCHUMO" Wingnuts.

Those are the same as the schumo but you only get two vs five with the schumo and the price is the same!

Here's a cheap and easily found alternative:

Despite the 1/48 tag the larger ones are almost spot-on for 1/16.

Only issue is they don't have much of a thread / stub - but you could drill them and add a brass rod for strength...
