Hey Ian - found that my Futaba 6Ex will work with the Clark boards. I have a question about the stick mode - Here in the US we stick mode 2 wich is throttle/rudder on the left, elevator/aileron on the right. Would I need to switch stick mode to stick mode 3, wich would be exactly reversed from above description?? Like the HL radio. Just trying to get answers ahead of time! Thanks -

You should be able to just switch the servo leads round between the Clark and the receiver. I know the Clark website has the throttle on left stick like a Tamiya but I got it on the right like a HL And the ratchet (throttle stick) controlling the gun fire etc.

Well, the new RX18 works good! Just waiting for the Dragon ATRC unit. Hopefully that will be here soon. The next thing to do is mod the battery box so I can use my Lipo's. So far, all is good!

Great news about your RX18, was strange your last one failed but these are cheap mass produced so is going to happen to somebody unfortinately.

Great choice to go LiPo route I done same and the tank just feels more able to cope with the terrian and stuff.

Good to hear Darren. One of my Taigen was DOA on arrival as well so it is not as uncommon as you think. I always have some spares lying around just for trouble shooting. Sometimes it is the MFU and you could be pulling your hair out trying to figure out about the connections and wiring and battery etc etc. Just because it is neat and tidy in a package you wouldn't think that it would misbehave...........

Yeah like you said - cheap and massed produced. To bad HL couldn't up their price 100 to 150 or so and give a little more decent product. Like wheels you could easily take apart and put bearings and new springs etc...Atleast on the Bulldog. To put metal wheels and such on that is an extreme pain in the you know what. Anyway, going to enjoy the tank as is for a while then do some more upgrading. Still need to install the Dragon when it gets here. So far, all is well....

Got the Dragon unit - was wondering if it is ok to stick velcro directly on the bottom of the circuit board, or should I put some heat shrink on then the velcro???

Well - got the dragon installed...At first it did not work properly enen though I watched the video. Tank forward would run two econds then pause, run two seconds then pause. You get the idea. Was pissed for a minute, then undid all connections and re-did connections the exact same way and - BOOM - it worked! I really need to rewire this tank with some good quality multi strand wire. Anywho, had an airsoft issue also - BB not going so far. Still on that one. Gettin tired of taking this tank apart every five minutes! Guess that makes me an expert in training!! HA haha...Good stuff - @)

That's interesting...... The Dragon only goes into the IR port so it shouldn't affect the BB........ It might be your wiring/soldering Darren........ Maybe you bumped some loose wires while putting in the Dragon ?
