do you want the IR to be or without. I did find wibblywobbly 's guide just the right for me to guide through the conversion.

Hi all, sorry for bumping such an old thread! I got my WSN T34 for £20 running with controller and even some batteries! Couple of issues to start but easily fixed - the barrel elevation needed repairing etc...
It was then running perfectly, looked perfect with the weathering etc, so sod's law says that something has to break now! And this time it was the board.
I now plan to follow Wibblywobbly's instructions to fit the RX18 board. I saw there were meant to be some pictures to go with the instructions but cant see them so if anyone has them or a link to them i'd be very grateful!
Thanks in advance :D

IMHO the std gears are ok but i went for asiatams in mine and replaced the driveshafts and fitted tamiya sherman roller bearings to the drive housings

just some more options for the T34
Can you show how you replaced the driveshafts?

I just got my hands on a WSN t-34 for a song and am now looking to upgrade this baby. I'm brand new to the RC tank hobby and was hoping for some guidance.

Here is a list of upgrades I've got in mind:

Henntec track adjustor
Metal drive sprockets (can't find?)
Metal tracks
Metal roadwheel suspension arms
Metal gerabox (not sure which one to get)
Asiatam recoil unit
Upgraded speaker (reccommendations?)
SLU upgrade(if I can find one for sale!)
5000 maH battery (must butcher the lower body to fit this?)
2.4 Ghz controller (was thinking of Spektrum DX5e)

Does this look like a descent list of items?
Can anyone assist in pointing me in the direction of some of these parts (my web-fu has failed me for some of them)?
Should I be looking to upgrade the motors?
If I can't locate an SLU I suppose I'll have to go to an RX-18 board. Is there a economical way of making an RX-18 based tank Tamiya battle system compatible and also use a 2.4 Ghz trasmitter (El-mod + csi + sound blaster seems pretty expensive)?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
