hello akina_subtitude,

i own one of these lower metall hull, and i'm very happy with it. The only think i do not like with this item from rctank.de is the track tensioning system, spring loaded and -for me- a bit troublesome.

I'm about to receive a new set (Henntec) from rctank.de:

http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... ts_id=1191

try to ask Dominique (he runs rctank.de) if there is any chance to swap the track tensioning system (if you want, ofcourse)

talking about roadwheels. I do think that if the kitty is a bit heavy (mine is >6kg), you will need them, or at least, reinforce the plastic ones, i've done this myself with polyester putty. The price for the metal roadwheels (with ball bearings) was a bit high for my taste, so i decided to try and reinforce the plastic roadwhells myself, filling the hollow wheels with the putty and using sewing cord with cyano for the plastic axels. You can take a look to my construction topic here (spanish website, but the pics would help):

http://www.lacadenaherrumbrosa.net/inde ... 0&start=60

go to post #37498 to see the firsts pics...

best regards
Jussek

Thanks gods... actually at the moment i have bought a new set (Henntec) track tensioning system from Ebay about 1 days ago I'm sure you know this guy (forgebear) maybe this is the best solution to settle my track problem. now just waiting the items arrive maybe it took about 2 week huhuhuhu.... but naver mind as long i can solve my problems that enough for me...

Jussek, i think that thing which you use to put in to the behind of the wheel is the thing that use for body car repair
is it? if I'm not wrong... that thing will be harden... like rock... when is exposed to the air.... please correct me if I'm wrong.....

recently my Tiger 1 accident then it's broke the barrel :'( ... do you have an idea to fix it...?

Thanks in advance :D

well it seems that some trolls think that someone here would fall in their 'sale's skills'... >:< >:<

hello again akina_subtitude,

i'm sorry for your gun ;D , i do not know what type is (BB or IR). If the only thnig that is broken is the outer plastic cover, maybe you can try to rebuild it with glue. If it is too smashed, maybe the only course of action possible could be to buy a new barrel, i'm sorry.

regarding the putty. I'm referring to the polyester type, there are different kinds of putty (for metal, plastic, polyester...) ussually they consists in a can of putty and an little tube of hardener agent. Yopu have to miz them in the correct proportion, and yes, after the chemical reaction is done, they are rock solid. My entire roadwheel train gained 750gr with this putty.

Hi Syrulizan, In your pic marked with the ?? looks like it could be a separate power supply for the cooling fan....?? Does the cooling fan start when you turn it on if there's no battery in the tank...?? I have never seen that sort of set up with the cooling before..

LOL! :haha:

this pic is very old! Reaper332 is right, it WAS an isolated power suply made for the little 25x25mm fan i had on the RX18, because it was running on 12V

But this was not a viable solution, so i eradicated this and installed an 5V 40x40 fan, it is receiving tension from the RX18 itself.

about the roadwheels, I made my measurements before and after the reinforcement with putty. An entire plastic wheel (the two parts put together and without the axle norcountng the suspension arm) stands for 10g. After the putty was apllied they stand for almost 50g.

there are other topics in the same website related to my tank, this one has newer pics:

http://www.lacadenaherrumbrosa.net/inde ... s?Itemid=0

My tank has the standard RX18 electronics, but as i was VERY disapointed with the HL sound, i bought the USM-HL Beier soundmodul, and this thing rocks. In the previuos link you can see it. I also put two minicams inside the cat, one in the driver's visor and one looking by the coaxial MG hole, to be able to aim. And is all for now... the next project i've in mind is to amend the different flaws on the tank, including the centrer of rotation of the turret, also i'm making metallic frontal mudguards with working hinges, change the plastic molded tools for 'real' ones, and then repainting all the Tiger like the Tiki profile...

best regards

Hi jussek ,

You have done a lot's thing in your tank congratulation Jussek
That's really cool bro , that's my Rc tank dreams i'm always want that things with the sound, FPV kits , you really amaze me on that ways  .
Hope you can teach me how to do it one day?
Currently my tanks is factory standard with BB no S&S but pro edition (with metal track and metal gearbox)
it's really boring.
recently i have buy a S&S kits at RCtank.de here the link:

http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?products_id=564

and other items which i have told you before ((Henntec) track tensioning system )
Once the items arrive i will make some modification at my Standard Tiger 1.

Oh almost forgot , i have link to share with you maybe from that you can get idea about the FPV setup if you really serious to doing that (currently I'm doing some research in term on FPV setup ,my objective is to setup FPV kits on my tiger 1 one day)

Jussek can you tell me where you get your USM-HL Beier soundmodul and how much cost is it?
Is it hard to install it and how about the variety of sound is it come with 1 set or you have to do it in yourself?

Best regards

thanks for your kind words, Syrulizan ;D

regarding the S&S kit... i 'hate' smoking systems like this one, the firts thing i did on my tank was to get rid of this thing. it does a lot of noise with this pump it has... better to modify it and put a minifan, but you have to work a little. Unfortunately i've no room inside my tank, so i do not have this problem ;)

The Beier website: http://www.beier-electronic.de/modellbau/index.php

the USM-HL cost me 129€+shipping

you can take a look to this topic, we are discussing this card here: http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... 2&start=20

installation is "next -> next -> finish" type, really easy.

regarding the spycams, yes, is very fun run the tank outside while you are on the sofa... ;D

best regards
