I have started my e50 build and my turret is going to look a lot like the e100 turret in this pic, heavy flat plate armor notched togather, with no hard to make bends.....The small turret had to many issues to work imo. The panther 75mm gun was going to have real problems with the new soviet,us and uk tanks comming onto the seen, the dam kt 88mm shells were to dam long to swing around inside that small turret..so the panther f turret would not work. The gun pretty much had to be the same one in the in the kt....but my thought was they were not going to store as much ammo in the turret like was planed with the kt( kt's were being killed with turret shots because the ammo was dislodging and going off with non penatrating hits). So that tail on the end of the kt turret was not needed...I will need to have something toward the rear of the turret to counter ballance the big honking gun hanging out up on the front . Since the e50 was not going to have torsion bar suspension, I was thinking that there would not need to be a excape hatch on the rear of the turret, the tank would have the hatches in the floor like the sherman. I will need some way to eject the empty shells....maybe something like the sherman....I cannot wait to see your suspension...
