Panzer III rebuild

Post by matthewpeter »

I have finally gotten around to putting the big pile of bits on my shelf together. I have stripped my Panzer III's chassis down and replaced the suspension and tracks/sprockets with metal parts. I decided to fit track tenshioners as I thought they might come in handy, and they were found to be essential! Brass 3 to 1 gearboxes finished the job and I fitted the new S&S kit I bought for it last year. Its working beautifully however the noise from the right hand gearbox is a bit grating! :/ Its all been painted a more authentic colour too.

Next job is to rework the top half, got a lot of detailing I want to do on it!

Mmmmm....metal bits :-)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

You are doing well, its not untill you start a build/rebuild do you realise the amount of work that goes into it. Then, you have the paintwork after that. Keep the pics coming.
