Old version HL Tiger I

I hate the zimmerit, looks like i just threw it on (I did ). Whats best way to remove it? Chisel?

found a site today that showed different ways to put on zimmerit, Ill post link later its on armorama.com. So I want to try it out again on the guinae Tiger. Before I take on my jagdpanther.

Im gonna give you guys credit, this is tough. You make it look easy, and Im a little frustrated. Its my first time doing this, and it is fun, but my tank still looks like a toy tank with paint on it. Still not done of course, but I think I went a little overboard on the rust, I need to tone that down. Pics make it look more rusty than it does in real life. Some of this was done with the salt, but I also used some chaulk. On to more investigating.

started over. Back to primer. I recieved my rx18 conversion today for the Tiger and some decals of Otto Carius' Tiger, so back to dark yellow camo. I really didnt like what I had so far, so no problem there. Learned some, and have spent most of my time lately on the JP anyway. Hope to get the baord installed and the tank rolling in the morning. Hoping my brother comes over and checks it out, he swears he doesnt want one, but he has driven my jagdpanther more than I have. He s getting the Tiger, or atleast hes gonna drive the Tiger.

TC, Both my Tiger and Jagdpanther were stripped and repainted. The Tiger was my first Tank and my first time painting with the airbrush. I had the benefit of a teacher and a step by step procedure. I have noticed some talk about using salt, on the deck of my Tiger I used baking soda, the finish is ruff like painted steel. But because baking soda is a really fine grain the effect is much more even.

Also the baking soda absorbs the color and does not really require much work to complete the finish. The use of pastels is another method I have done a lot with, and continue to progress using the pastels for a number of effects. If you are interested I can provide some links or if you just use the forum search function these methods have been in many post by several members.

Perhaps you could benefit from reviewing these methods, Sax

exactly right both of you. I only plan on buying one Tiger, maybe two. But there are many many paint schemes out there. Ill probably go through a few more! Stayed up late last night putting in the new rx18 and speaker in. I still have some tidying up to do and actual mounting of everything, but it is wired up and most importantly, Ze Tiger lives! USed the last of my Tamiya dark yellow too. Will run to LHS later today for more paints. I didnt get the smoker or the volume knob, but they are being shipped to me today, so I will have them mid week.

here is some wet paint. New to the airbrush, but man that is fun. Once I get the pressure settings figured out better, and probably a little better brush, Im going to really like it.

Hi, nice camo............I am in the UK, so that means no spraying for me!...stormy weather here, so you guys in the south(hemisphere) have the advantage over the winter time!...keep up the good work..

Thanks, Im in texas obviously, but its C O L D this week. Been below freezing most of the week. And my tanks have been banished to the garage. Thankfully I got a heater for Christmas. So the garage is fine with me

love the camo , the repaint was worth it , i find single colour tanks are harder to make look right then camo ones
