Hi Here is an update Have been busy busy busy ,Have the two hulls built One of them I bought from Keith his Jagdpanther,
Have So far
1 Jagdpanther upper complete
2 Panther G upper almost complete needs paint and a few bits
3 Panther with Ftype turret, turret built needs gun making and fitting out with recoil and elevation unit ,then paint and a few bits to do to hull .
4 Jagdpanther II basic structure built need fitting out detail and paint.
Need to work out fitting of upper hulls to Tamiya lower hull and Heng long hull, also have to sort out the rear on the tamiya hull so I can change it for the Jagdpanther II(I am thinking of using magnets. One other thing to thnik about is the position of the switches so they are accesseble which every upper is on the lower, may well have to fit the on off switch through the bottom.so have a lot of work to do still.

nice done so far, im lucking forward to see houw you projeckts are going on.
do you have any ideas now about your Tankdestroyer? maybe you will use Kingtiger side armor so it will look more like a E-serie model, just an idea.

if you want side armor for your other models, maybe i can help you.

if you want a other kind of side armor i only need a drawing and i m able to made it for you.

[quote="Have seen Ftype turrets for sale,(asiatam) but then have to be modifed, there about 3mm to small each side in width and there also a little short at the back,so will be converting a G turret to F type ,[/quote]

..is this right??? thats realy interestening because noone in a germanforum had notice it so far.
you guys are lucky because of the only existing turret in you musem hehe

Hi Christian Here is a photo of asiatam turret and drawing of F type turret ,it clearly shows the Asiatam turret is to narrow. This is one reason I converted the G turret(the other was the cost ).
Have not made my mind up yet about the final look still planning stage ,but will have to soon.

Hi Christian The hull is a Tamiya Panther hull(some people have used the King tiger hull). There are only 7 wheels each side ,so the hole pattern of the orginal is all wrong (I think there is only one hole each side the same as orginal),this is why I I have fitted a plate on each side with the correct pattern of holes, using King Tiger suspension arms and wheels, rear idler and drive sprockets ,it is supposed to have King Tiger transport tracks, but due to lack of funds it has full King tiger tracks, will fit transport tracks when the funds allow(there very expensive $150).I have a drawing from panzer tracks for the Panther II .Will post photos of hull later .

971wright wrote:Hi Guys Started my new project its a Panther II, see first two photos the third photo is a Jagdpanther II,It has the same hull, so might make the upper to fit, so I have two tanks for one hull.
The Hull is a Tamiya panther hull (Bought on ebay), wheels spaced and one removed using King Tiger wheels and suspension arms,it will have King Tiger tracks and sprockets (have full tracks for build to set suspension and get it running)I know its supposed to have transport type tracks, but these are very expencive and will be added later (when funds allow),Hope to also have Tamiya DmD/Mf units (again funds permiting)Have the low ratio gears from forgebear(also have a Jagdpanther upper from Dave May convert to Jagdpanther II)So could have a running lower hull soon (using heng long electrics).
Will post build Photos as soon as the tracks are on.
