I'm just playing catch up to you guys. I'm waiting for my wheels also. I still have to make the brass portions of my suspension, although I have all of the springs made. It is coming along anyway.

Here are some updated pictures of my build. I have been working on some details in the cargo hold, LED taillights, and the access cover while waiting for my wheels. They have arrived, so now it is time to finish making the suspension and then putting the sponsons on. I have finished adding the carbon fiber grousers to my tracks also. That was a bit of a time consuming job, but I think it was well worth it. At least every thing has now been fiber-glassed so it won't leak.

Manuel K.

I have tried to build it in 1/16 scale, or at least as close as I can get it with my poor woodworking skills. At least it keeps me out of the bars and away from loose women. Darnit!

These are pictures of all that I have accomplished in the last couple of days. I have added some detail to the cab and made the water diffusers for the back. I made them out of card stock first and then thin plywood before glassing them with epoxy. Not quite as hard as I thought they were going to be.

Well no pictures, but I have attached the sponsons with the track adjusters and return rollers attached to the hull. I of course had to test it in the indoor testing facility to check for leaks (none) and depth of water line. I still have a half inch to reach the waterline, so I should be good once I get the suspension made and installed. This is taking a lot of time, but I think it will be worth it in the end. Something no one else has anyway.

I have been working on the gun mounts of late, I hope I have done them justice. I still have to get some .30 cal. MG's for the side mounts. So far, all of the guns and mounts move as the originals. I have also added the weld lines to the sponsons. Scribed out a grove where I wanted them and glued in thick thread so it is just above the surface. This gives a pretty good weld representation in my opinion. Well it works for me anyway.

I have done a little more detail work on my build. I have made the ramp locks, the front hatch stops, vented the engine compartment and installed a fan for air circulation, and paint hides numerous sins.

I have finally finished with the bogey wheels and suspension. It does look pretty much life like imho. I still have to attach them to the sponsons and put on the water diffusers, but that is going to be the easy part. Now I get to install the ESC's and radio receiver and program my transmitter so it will actually work.
