HI all,, last for tonight getting that dry feeling ..
so we move forward ......the mantlet the hole opened up by another 4mm this to bring it back where it should be,,,the recoil is a tiger 1 type as yet un modified, you must bear in mind that this is the old type turret and is slightly smaller at the bottom, the new turret is 2mm wider .
extra work on the mantlet had to be done as i made it removable, this with brass strip soldered nuts and great deal of thought and hair pulling and i do not have much of that too start with :haha: :haha:

so we move towards the final segment,but with the forum being down for a couple of days i have not , weathered the old girl but will do this over the weekend ,and will put it in
the general discussion part early next week all being well i will show her with and without clutter on her hull and how i will make this moveable i hope that you have found this long rebuild of some benefit to your good selves ,but if any of you would like a detailed part build shown in greater detail then please just pm me or simply ask..........

this shows the five steps that go to make each wheel the round holes are squared and then the fins are added,, do this twelve times ,,i found that making about one a day was enough..

this shows the finished vvss covers and finished wheels note also the fact that i have brought  out he centre part to be almost level with the sprockets as they should be this was done by adding some 15mm copper pipe to the nut plate and a push fit was sufficient to hold it in place.........

This has got to be the best firefly conversion I've ever seen Pete. Simply outstanding mate! It's WOW factor is off the scale. What a fantastic piece of work, this must be one for the masterclass.

thanks very much Chris ,coming from a expert like your good self it means a lot to me..so if you would like it upgraded to the masterclass i believe you or somebody else has too do it and thanks once again .........
