Hi gang here goes, about four dozen pics of what has been a long haul to finish the girl ..
Take one 1974 tank and convert to the Firefly M4A4 hulled model........
first the old hull.....

rear deck removed and a small hinge added to the water tank top.this from plastic rod with two saw cuts in it....

the gun crutch no less than sixteen pieces in this item and the new rear deck hinges

both hulls ...the rear deck of the new will be replaced as they did not have a refill gas cap on the rear deck.......

new hull modded by Septon,,i am aware that the hatch hinges are incorrect but needed to be strong for the use that they will get........

the bolts have been added and also a raised lip around the water tank

this shows the mesh fitted to th rear air intakes also the bolt on top, but i replaced this later with 12 ba bolt

Thanks Ice but i regret at this time the forum will not let me post up pics so until it,s sorted i can do nothing , dam shame as i have lots more too post........

this shows the start of adding additional armour to the hull sides also note that the strip of plastic at base of hull this for the dust guards to be screwed to in the later pics you will see that millput has been added to look like it,s been welded and the holes will have been drilled........

so now we try a first coat of paint ..also the new tranny cover built from plastic card and pill boxes this is only a prototype but wiil stay for the time being, as i had to use lead sheet to get the shape of the front also used it to get the shape of the flanges of the three cast hull ,, the nuts and bolts cut from plastic rod some heated also a square one for the nuts and thin one for the thread wow it ,s not easy ...........

the new mantlet  added the tube for the ir emitter also drilled hole for the 30 cal machine gun had to widen the middle section withe strips of plastic square rod and then grind it down at about 45 %
