track tensioners for h/l tiger ??

Post by boxerdog »

hello all, heres another sill question from me again, but im fed up with my tiger throwing the tracks off every time i take it out, i have metal tracks/gears/sprockets/idlers, so am i right in thinking that the tensioners should sort this problem out?
so are they easy to fit and what sort do you recommend and who to buy them from? i need some asap and also if anyone has a spare barrel and recoils system they want to sell to fit my h/l tiger id be very intrested, i would like to get my high voltage gun flash working now,

many thanks

(one day il stop asking silly questions) but im having alot of fun learning and the tank model collection is getting rather large now......... and ive met some great friends on here too, thanks too you all

check the tracks

make sure they are the same length, no pins have worked loose, sprockets are lined up correctly

is it throwing tacks on a certain surface, or does it happen all the time no matter what surface

have you got plasic or metal suspension arms

still has plastic arms, it tends to throw the tracks of the idlers when turning on most surfaces

if you pick the tank up, how far does the tracks hang under the wheels

is there a lot of play side to side in the tensioner.

Try rctankwars.com. Phil has a great set of adjusters for the Tiger1.

If everything aligns (wheels, tracks, and arms etc..)under compression and rebound position, it is probably that your tracks loosen enough when the suspension compresses. A combination of tensioner upgrade and front and rear swing arm spring enhancement will probably do it.
