Hi Take a look at this post on RCU http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9385268/tm.htm
hes doing a 1/6 scale Looks like hes doing a nice job apart from his choice of materials hes using a nylon a material he cant paint ,unless he has access to aircraft paint which contains isocynate and costs about 100quid a litre and needs a specaial booth and oven , its deadly in spray or powder form.

Re: Scorpion light tank
Thanks for the help lads, I really appreciate it.
As this tank is about 2/3 the width and length of a PZ3 hull, I am wondering what gear I can put in it.
If anyone has any ideas of motor/gearbox kit I could use then I would like to hear about them. Space is the enemy here, the body/hull will be quite easy to scratch build, and as I have already been informed, the wheel/suspension parts should be available somewhere, but the internals are the problem
Possibly, this tank is too small at this scale.....HEEEELP
Finances are not a problem....lack of knowledge is. I may have to resort to small high torque motors and small speed controllers, the r/c gear from a heli will go in too....but the gearbox arrangement is the black hole. Then again it mite not be doable at 1/16 scale.
best wishes Mike

Hi Maybe 1/24 scale motors and gearboxes also the tracks from them maybe something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VsTank-PRO-T72-M1 ... 29ff746bbe
dont know if they will work but there maybe some that might from different models.
