Happy with the progress so far and I’m privileged to be doing such a project in another’s behalf.
Jings. I go off and lay a floor. Come back and you’ve done the turret rotation, and barrel recoil. This is going to look great.
You don’t get wiser as you get older. You just run out of stupid things to do.

I was wondering how you were going to do the turret internals with the weaker static model kit plastic. Looks excellent.

Cheers folks, I’m learning on the fly.
Still room in the turret for a TC and the servos are clear of the turret side doors.

I love the solution for the recoil, do you have tested it already? Does the servo's angular movement not transfer to the barrel and cause it to rotate even a fraction?

best regards

:D Hello Mr. Bix,
as usual, always good ideas, why make things complicated? When possible, keep it simple and functional... Bravo! When I think that personally, considering the time I spend, for a result that doesn't always satisfy me? Mr. Bix, you're a genius

G’day Mr J thanks for looking in.
It does wriggle a wee bit but I made another link which has reduced that to almost nothing.
Certainly less than a Taigen mechanism allows barrel bouncing & sloppiness.
Many Tamiya barrels are also bouncy & need a lot of work to correct.
I’d say the muzzle brake on this can wiggle one degree either side of zero when fired but is barely discernible.

High praise indeed Sir, but simple is also reliable and above all-maintainable.
As this is not meant for me I made it to be looked after by anyone with no knowledge of its construction down the track.
Still a long way to go
