Heng long new metal recoil and slip ring TK7.1

Post by Docomar750 »

Hi

Before I strip it down again but a new 7.1 board in and changed out my Leo to 360 turntable the lastest Heng long metal recoil uses a servo with an micro switch on the body jumper in CN6 recoil works and sound but no track movement (maybe micro switch not being triggered. Also fitted barrel smoke and flash wired as best I can tell from instructions and yes the slip ring was advertised as 7.1 with DuPont connectors but no joy not activating on cannon shoot and no led working on machine gun.

Any one got any ideas how to make sure the slip ring wiring is correct as can’t find instructions anywhere?

Hello,
I don't think using a 360° electrical system affects the tracks; it affects the turret equipment more, such as the gun firing, elevation, turret machine gun, etc. Using a multimeter (with the power off), check the continuity of the various conductors by manually rotating them. Do you have enough conductors for everything? Also, be mindful of the current draw (amperes) of certain components, as this could damage a (very thin) trace inside the mechanism.

Question ?
CN 6 is the Trigger switch, which controls the flash when the cannon is fired. Your servo moves back correctly until it makes contact with this switch. If you operate it manually (or with a tool? Risk of puncture? Sometimes), does the flash work?

Right got it working the DuPont for CN15 was reversed only problem now is at the main board there is only one wire for machine gun led and at the little board in the turret there is no power getting to the pins I’ve got the barrel smoker in the red 6v socket on the turret board the flash and smoke trigger and work on main gun but it doesn’t seem there is a common positive to power the board led works tested that and main pins on the board led 5 work just seems no positive getting to the led 5 pins on the turret board I’ve messaged the seller but it seems to me an extra wire is needed on the slip ring. I’ve got servos for recoil and elevation.

:'( So there aren't enough conductors on the ring? Also, I don't quite understand how you're going to manage with a capacitor? Furthermore, looking more closely at the markings on the board, I see that L9 is actually CN14 and CN15, while in the listing, LED 9 is listed as a machine gun? Isn't there a way to connect a negative terminal to another part?

Does your tank have that little daughter board? If so, there are some shared pins on that board. If I remember correctly the MG and the headlight share a common voltage (might be ground - don't remember which). The 7.1 eliminates any shared circuits. Each LED gets it's own + and - connection.

Led 9 is second machine gun got it all working now just needed more wires now the weak servos have all exploded on elevation and recoil the joys of hobby’s and upgrading 4.8kg servos ordered I will not be defeated 😎

Great if it works, so not enough conductors? Which is often the case with this type of system... Also, as already mentioned, are the wires and ring contacts small? So be careful with the current draw (mAh/Amps). Did your servos explode? What type did you have?
Is it a metal barrel? Generally, 1.8/2 kg is suitable? No mechanical issues? No stiff spots, friction, etc.
