Question about battery/breaker issues

One last question, I’m used to LiPo needing to be kept at a storage charge, do Li-ion need the same?

it is 3,75V per Cell.

The smart charger I have charges my LiPos to 3.84 per cell for a storage charge. Is 3.75 exclusive to Li-ion, or what you charge you LiPo and Li-ion to when storing?

I’m guessing since I can only charge to 40v now I have damaged the battery somewhat (assuming it’s a 10s)?

It,s exclusive for Li-Ion, but it doesn't depend on 0.05 V.
Li-Ion does not react as sensitively to voltage as a LiPo.

Per cell, so 40 volts at end of charge? Doesn't seem like the problem?

Okay, so I should probably try to get the voltage down to around 37.5v, ideally? That’s around when it started pooping out on me when I was running it the other day

There are often different voltages for Li-Ion..
The best approach is to follow the manufacturer's specifications for the battery.

Storage voltage should be used if the battery is not going to be used for a long period of time.
I do this if the battery is not going to be used for more than two weeks.
However, I do not store batteries in a discharged state.

I don't think lowering the voltage will change anything regarding your problem. The internet is full of information about lithium-ion batteries. The most common are the 18650, ref: which means 18 mm in diameter and 65 mm long with a voltage of 3.7 volts, and several capacities are available. Then there are shorter and larger ones. Now, Heng Long doesn't manufacture its own batteries? So, I'd like to know if they can provide an answer? I think another manufacturer supplies them!
One question? But do you think you do it? During charging? Do you plug in the large plug? But also the balancing plug?

My mistake... the presence of a BMS eliminates the need for a balancing plug... a serious error on my part.

For their larger scale models, it’s seems they don’t. They get them from someone else and are either unable or unwilling to ask them about the details of the battery other than what’s printed on the outside of the battery. They told me it was a lead acid battery, but like most everyone is saying here, it appears to be an Li-ion. Kind of looks like a battery you see on an e-bike

I’ve thought about getting a replacement sometime in the future so at least I would know more about the battery, but I haven’t been able to find anything so far that fits the dimensions AND voltage/amperage requirements. Between the speaker, dual motor ESC, battery, and motors, there is like, no extra space in there

A lead-acid battery? That would surprise me. It doesn't really look like that. Scraping off the white paste (unless it's metallic, otherwise boom!) is the only way to know the type of battery. But personally, 40 volts and the indicated amperage? For me, it can't be lead-acid. Lead-acid batteries are 12/24 volts or more in series or parallel, but not this size or shape. It really looks more like a scooter or electric bike battery.

If it's SLA, makes me wonder if they are doing something like this and then wrapping it in the blue cover? SLA batteries are normally multiples of 6V with 12V and 24V being most common. Anything above that is usually some custom battery in SLA.
