Tiger 1 Convoy lights

Post by Stormbringer »

Hi folks
I promise this is the last 1 well unless i get another German WW2 tank
I did this in much same way as my KT lights link viewtopic.php?t=38198
Only difference this time i removed more of the moulded plastic light also whilst had tank open i removed the plastic mudguard hinges
they came out fairly easily , I cut the protruding pin of then pressed the pins with a screwdriver and they popped out

Again using LED port 3 on mfu (rear lights) plugged it up and viola we have light

The early Heng Long Tiger 1 mouldings had the rear fender hinges held in place by screws, Indeed Dave @ www.forgebeartanks.com
Carried spare hinges in stock.
And the discussion about the rear light on the Tiger 1 has been going on for years.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I admit that my Tiger 1 research has always focused on the Initial Production Tiger 1 and everything I’ve found on the convoy light subject has indicated that they were originally green and present day original lenses have aged to a more bluish tint which could be misleading. Just something I read in a couple of internet searches. Nothing is 100% on the internet. Image

Yes. The blue is very eye catching. Your tank is most awesome. Time for a video!😁
