Hi
I recently bought the Haya Flakpanzer which I am happy with but am currently doing some cosmetic work to improve the details a bit. One area I would also like to change is the Transmitter and Receiver to Futaba units as I use this on all my other tanks and trucks apart from my Haya Centrurion which I would also like to change. I am not a fan of the Haya handset to be honest.
I wondered had anybody else carried out this change to Futaba, or some other preferred radio gear and of so did you find it straight forward?
Thanks

Re: Swapping out Haya Transmitter\receiver for Futaba
The issue you will run into is getting whatever new radio configured to use the functions of the Clark board. The Gepard is using a Clark TK50 board. I'm not sure what you Centurion has in for a control board. It may also be a Clark TK50 or it could be a Haya (re)branded board. The real issue about going with a transmitter that no one else is using with their Clark boards is that no one will really have any experience with that particular radio configuration. You will be basically on your own to get it to work.
Clark says the following have been tested with his boards, but some of these are really old and not SBus so I can't really comment on how well any of them will work at this point. Most of the newer TK50 boards are SBus.
Gook luck!

Re: Swapping out Haya Transmitter\receiver for Futaba
So casting my mind back this has come up before, I'm pretty sure it has been done but it's a bit of a pain as the sbus control scheme has been set to use the i6s/x tx.gorehound wrote: ↑Sun Nov 09, 2025 7:47 pm Hi

The problem you quickly get into is the control scheme uses 4 3 position switches. You can get this down to 3 if you're not bothered about indicators. If your tx has this then you should be ok! It's just a case of replicating the control setup from the i6 on your futaba
