And the camo process has started. I like the color hue of the Tamiya XF88 which was specifically designed to mimic Dunkelgelb. I like also because it sprays exceptionally well through the airbrush (no clogs), doesn't require mixing, and lays down really nice. Problem is that XF88 only comes in the Tamiya mini bottles. I blew threw two of those just doing the running gear and didn't even get it all covered nor did I paint anything you can't see once the tracks are on.

Since those were the only two bottles of XF88 I had on hand, I ended up painting the green stripes since I did have it on hand. I know that breaks some rule that you are supposed to put the lighter color down first and then the darker ones, but I've kinda on a deadline to get this done by Saturday.

It doesn't fit very well in my spray booth. Today some emergency XF88 arrived from Amazon as the stuff I ordered off Ebay was delayed. Now we are moving along...

So far about 6 hours of painting to get to this point. She is definitely a big girl. Once the Rotbraun (XF90) arrives, I can finish the camo. In the mean time I have 48 wheels to paint the steel rims on.

That's all for now...

Doing the Dunkelgelb after the Grün, tankme, is quite a trick, and you've done it so well!

Alan, that's a tin pan alley song, isn't it? Oh that's "What a Difference a Day Makes."

Two words come to mind, massive and impressive!

It does not show you painted the dunkelgelb afterward, you did a great job!
