The intel I got from Torpedochief on RCU was that they were mulling the Pzkpf 38(t).
Like you I instantly saw possibilities for parts reuse in the marder III ausf h and n, as well as the Hertzer

What parts did the Stuart and Sherman share? For that matter what did the Chaffee, Bulldog and Pershing share?

I think heng long have proved that you can reuse plenty of parts
So long as you ignore such minor considerations as scale, authenticity, etc...

if they tool up for a smaller turret ring, then the early british and american stuff comes within reach - maybe thats why the smaller gearboxes are now in production

Re: heng long new ' light ' tank ?
I wonder how they'll fit all the gubbins in a 38t, the PzIII is a squeeze.
Re: heng long new ' light ' tank ?
A 38t hull would be great but tiny. I've always wanted a little r/c Hertzer.
Re: heng long new ' light ' tank ?
PZI & PZII spring to mind they would be tight too.
