This is the first model I've tried to complete at 1/6th scale and its been a learning process, and honestly I feel this is probably not up to the standard this forum expects looking at response's to my posts.

Slow down a bit Pete. You do fantastic work and are well above the standards of the forum. Most of the members work in 16th so the "larger" scale section gets less visits. Also building a less than main stream project tends to garner less views. If you look at my builds the off beat stuff gets less interest than the normal ones (don't count the M32 numbers, a glitch gave several of us exaggerated numbers). The off beat stuff are my personal favorites.

I love your work and the subjects you choose. Thank you for sharing you projects.

Pete , even if the scale is so-so in your opinion - IT LOOKS RIGHT ! and I love it.

The MK4 at 1/6 th is a big beast and look forward to seeing how you get on.
Is it going to be a combination of wood, metal and 3D printed details.
Have you any thoughts on how to make the tracks, 3D print or the Armotek route and attachment chain ?

Keep at it, Dave

I build larger stuff also. Currently building a 1/6th Ford GPA just because I wanted something that swims... :) Keep at it, looks like an RSO to me. :)

Oh no, don't think like that  This forum expects nothing, it just hopes that members have a go to the best of their abilities, not lose interest or give up, and above all else, enjoy themselves

I am hoping that any felt negativity were simple cultural or translation misunderstandings.

A lot of us here really appreciate you sharing with us

Definitely no way anyone here thinks like that, and any that do are soon shown the door.
For me it’s hard to comment as the method is above my skill set and the scale is unfamiliar, but I can appreciate the work that’s gone in .

Pete, thanks for explaining that you use wood and 3D printing. The pictures suggested so to me, but skill level is w-a-a-y beyond mine. I am eager to see more of your work and sure like your idea to do a 1/6 MK4.

Photo dump for now some of these are showing changes made and changes to come, I've changed the motor for ready-made gear motors and the drill motor conversion had small issues, I also start to convert to the type 3 model as the cab seemed nicer visually to me and gave me option to start with my new laser cutter over the CNC mill which now is only employed for small aluminium parts, still have the bed to correct and complete.
I've included some pictures of the old setup as a ref point of the new parts. Not sure if anyone is following this but hey ho.. And off we go.
It's all been on the back burner for a while due to having to complete a couple of display fishing boats, also dealing with an illness which has turned out to be a TAD more complex that I needed but alls well on.
