Cheers Mr Jee, I hope so.
I covered the bases with all sorts of Vallejo nature weathering effect acrylic compound & its worked well to build some texture.
Now Im waiting for the AK 8010 Snow Micro Balloons to dry :eh:

Still to weather the boots but you get the idea.
No accidental falling over from the slightest bump.
Plus they are easily removed from their bases for any reason.

Bix, I have made bases for dozens and dozens of 1/48 figures for my O Gauge train layout. You would think it would occur to me to make bases for the 1/16 figures, too. :headbang:

I think I only did one, for my DAK figure, and that was because he had to have some place to set down the MG.

I'm decent at weathering tanks and trains but I haven't yet figured out how to make up realistic scale figures.

The subtle details ( the helmet pitting, chipping the potato masher, the hi-lites of the coat creases )
escape me.
