HL Tiger
Re: HL Tiger
Did any of yall modify the exhaust so that the smoke comes out of the top? If so, did you just run the smoke tube or enclose the exhaust cylinder?

Re: HL Tiger
I ran a brass tube inside the exhaust body then enclosed it.
The plastic hose then attached to the brass tube on the inside of the tank.

Re: HL Tiger
I’m going to add cooling fans…missing one. Got to figure out how to secure them in place. They fit nicely where the real ones would have been.

Re: HL Tiger
adding on to Mr. Bix's nice work I used cheap vacuum hose and couplers from the auto parts store to reroute the smoke. You can see where I plugged the original holes in the rear panel with scrap sprue.

Thanks…I see the hoses sticking up in the exhaust cylinders. Looks like I’ll be drilling a could have holes. I saw another post last night where the builder went all out on the scale meter for his exhaust. I’ll stick to the basic mod,
Re: HL Tiger
You got it

Yes, I do love my Tigers but decided awhile ago that I had to set certain limits to just how far I wanted to take things. These days it's mostly to preserve the robust nature I desire my RC tanks to be.

Yeah…limitations for me too, I’m working a fw190. I had to stop years ago for school and child, but will be starting again soon. I’m really scaling it. Will have to prostitute myself for the radial engine..$5k.

Re: HL Tiger
Are you thinking about the Das Reich Tiger S33 "TiKi"? Because S13 wasn't dark gray, it's base coat was RAL 8000 which was the same dark yellow on Tiger 131 at Bovington. During my Winter Tiger 822 build I learned that it was delivered to Das Reich just before the 3rd battle at Kharkov painted in the "Tropen" base coat of RAL 8000. Turns out that 822 became re-designated S13 for the battle at Kursk. I really wanted to do a grey Tiger with winter whitewash so I took artists license with the grey. But when that was completed I also did an S13 post Kursk.
