1/72 Tiger 1 with 2.4g 5 channel receiver can be used in 1/35 scale models
Re: 1/72 Tiger 1 $20 RRC 5 channel ToyGrade with minor improvements
Got some free time today so got those measurements of the "engines in the Tigers" There are 3 motors in the Tiger. 1 for the Turret.

- I have several of these pre wired with 2.5mm connectors. Another interesting piece of info the the Ohms resistance reading. 4.5 to 6.5 ohms. 6.5 ohms is ideal for 1s lipo.

Re: 1/72 Tiger 1 $20 RRC 5 channel ToyGrade with minor improvements
Thank you very much! This is a very interesting measure. With this measure, motors with planetary gearboxes can be installed. The difficult part will be to put the output gear, since most output shafts are 2mm. We could reduce the speed a lot and gain torque without touching the electronics and the original gears.
You can see two 6mm planetary motors in my M48 here:

Re: 1/72 Tiger 1 $20 RRC 5 channel ToyGrade with minor improvements
thanks to this thread I went on ebay and amazon and have the newest 2.4 ghz on the way ,plus a dragon micro x tech tiger 1 as well. 1/72 seems like a fun scale to tinker with and build small dioramas with to operate them on.

Re: 1/72 Tiger 1 $20 RRC 5 channel ToyGrade with minor improvements
Here are two 1/35 Tamiya M113 APC that are using the $20 2.4g 5 channel radio system.
2.4g with 1 cell lipo 100mAh. On\off switch with charge plug. There is a 1s charger in the TX.
Has engine, track and gun firing sounds
Sound can be switched on\off via remote.
2 speeds forward via remote.
Zero turn function.
Tracking adjustment for L\R FWD. This feature is a must IMO
Without this feature, TOY GRADE
I am not saying this is HOBBY GRADE but its close
I never saw anything like this back in the old days of R\C.
"Demo" or autonomous mode runs a pattern on the tank autonomous in either low or high speed via remote.
All in a very small circuit board that is ideal for small scale models.
This receiver was designed to drive coreless motors but can drive 4.5 ohm and higher 130 ~ 140 size motors. The APC's both have round
5 ohm 140 style motors.
I have modified the TX so that it has a on\off switch. did that because after time it discharges the 4 AA batteries. Also added a slider switch for forward speed hands free.
I will soon do a video of the autonomous mode.
