Hello Gents .. my apologies for the untidy wiring and points noted, new at this as I say and did what seemed simple and logical to get it all to work, but I'm learning quickly. The thing being by way of an excuse, the lighting and the smoke generator were all inserted after the deck had been stuck well down, with a limited amount of space to work in as you can imagine .. as I said earlier were I to build another of these, it would be a lot neater job, hindsight and the ability to learn from past builds being a wonderful thing.
Regarding the smoke, I realise I probably wont be able to get black smoke, but the experiment has been fruitful I think as the smoke I'm getting with that mixture is darker and seems more dense, after all it was for producing a smoke screen that the PT boats had them fitted, and is what I'm trying to emulate, with the bonus that running the generator for short periods as I have in test, and will when sailing for effect, it does not seem to be damaging anything.
aaahh .. chih pyh .... yes makes sense

... as regards the sound of a steam loco .. isnt it cough wheeze cough wheeze ...
