Meme from Italy
Re: Meme from Italy
I'm a beginner and I'm reporting the advices received. If the club near to me use only Tamiya battle system, I think I have no other choice.

Re: Meme from Italy
Hi, Welcome to the Forum
First things first,
If you wish to fight with your Tank it has to comply with the rules and that means your I/R (Infra Red) must meet the standard set by Tamiya,
BUT other makers sell Tanks whose I/R meets the rules.
Any Heng Long Tank with a 7.0 or later model control board qualifies and it's electrics in my opinion are better than Tamiya which is a bit of a Dinosaur and the Heng Long will be 500+ Euros cheaper with a massive field of upgrades available.
You do not have to buy Tamiya..
I hope that helps

Re: Meme from Italy
If I were you, I would start with a plastic version Heng Long tank with the TK-7.0 board.
These are affordable and you can find out if like it or not.
If you like it you can always upgrade with metal parts, or even keep it the way it is and buy a Taigen or Torro metal version tank.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Heng Long's T34/85 and KV-1/KV-2 are solid running tanks.
The KV'S are fun because with some pretty much free modifications, you can turn them from plain looking toy tanks into really detailed models of Soviet armour. Check out the KV-1 and KV-2 build section--no prissy Tigers or Panthers allowed in this salute to being a hammerhead!

I personally think the T34 from Taigen or even HL are GREAT tanks. Great because they are very reliable. I have 5 different T34 variants built or being built and they have NEVER thrown a track on any of them.

Welcome to the group Meme.
I'm a Tiger I guy but I completely agree with Tankme about the T34. A solid design that I've had zero issues with. I have the Heng Long.
