TAMIYA Centurion - Suggested Paint?

Not everything that Humbrol make in enamel is echoed in acyrilic but pretty much, just as not everything they make in those little tinlets are echoed in rattle cans but most are, Worth checking out and Humbrol rattle cans are bigger than Tamiyas.

I have been checking online for Humbrol Deep Bronze Green paint spray - but nobody shows that colour in their listings - even those that claim to stock the full colour range.

Do they give it a different name, or do you still have an old can with the paint name and number on it by any chance?

In the Humbrol acrylic paint range I can find 75 Bronze Green available so I could find a suitable thinner and test airbrush it for colour match.

When was deep bronze green used by British army?. I'm going to be painting a mid 1950's Conqueror and the images of the green look more dark like a Humbrol Brunswick Green than the Deep Bronze Green shades I've seen

I think I will buy a rattle can of Humbrol Brunswick Green and see what it looks like when sprayed onto a "test piece".

The Conquerer is a really nice tank to model - and I wish there was a 1/16 scale version to have alongside my Centurions. I have made the 1/35 scale Conquerer kits and have built a Mk1, a Mk2 (the version most used in active service) and the experimental "spaced armour" version .

Although only a single "one-off" prototype in real life, the spaced armour version seems to be very popular with the online tank war-gamers where it has the been called the Super Conquerer .......where it appears in much greater numbers!

Here is a picture of my very unfinished waiting for lots of parts to be printed Comqueror. I am trying to get the shade of the Bovington example which is definitely not Bronze Green. I used Tamiya TS-9 British Green and it looked nowhere near a match but then I used one coat of TS-80 Flat Clear on it and the shade changed completely to this. So when it it is finally finished I think with filters and a general coating of dust I can get it pretty close to what I'm trying for. It is an enormous tank and takes a lot of paint

Your Conquer looks superb - do you have a build thread for this impressive British Tank?

The Conquerer is probably my favourite tank, and the tank that I would most like to build or own in 1/16 scale.

Is your Conquerer scratch built from plans, or is there anyone making a kit (maybe 3D printed?).

That is a nice line-up of British tanks.

The Conquerer makes a very impressive 1/16 scale tank.
