As a widower to Alzheimer's, even if years have passed, my feelings at your triumph are a memory of great sadness, new and great admiration, and hope for cures. Thank you, Ian. Thank you.

Thank you all very much for the kind words of encouragement.

Herr Dr. Your words have made me well up. My father died of dementia. I feel your grief. It was sad to see a skilled woodworker deteriorate the way he did.

This was never intended to be a serious build, and I debated wether to document it, fearing it would be mocked. But then I thought, oh blow it, it does use a tank, and I used it to engage with someone to bring a little happiness, into what is left for him. Now all I need to do is learn how to post a video of it running around on Christmas Day.

Can’t wait though until we finish work on Friday. I get my Tiger back.

I’m glad that your apprehension of mockery proved unfounded.
Would be a dog act to pour negativity on such a happy and well intended gift.

Well done to you Sir

Made a bag of magic dust so he could come alive when the nursery children came in to entertain the residents. Each child had to take some dust and sprinkle it over Santa to make him move. Trundled around with small presents for the residents. A daft build I know, so what? It is Christmas, and if it bring a bit of pleasure to those suffering from dementia. Then I’m happy.

Daft?! Nonsense, this is a lovely thing to do. We do this to have fun, don’t we?:)

Learning how to post videos with the help of my 9 year old niece. How come, even at 9, women have that ability to role their eyes and make you feel inadequate? This is double the ice cream payment I owe her. If it works Santa drink driving.

Your video is set as private. Go to you tube and make it public for all to see.

Also, if you edit this post, on the line above where you are typing, there are buttons. Far right is a video button, click that and insert the link you've added for the video in the between center pair of brackets. The cursor should be flashing there after clicking the video button.
