Those who finish the Winter Build early have to send $500 or the equivalent in their country's currency to those who have not finished yet. :lolno:

Still have a bit to go. Chock blocks, snatch block pulleys, stand off bar, vise, head lights and a few other things.

Eric, this is an amazing accomplishment, so interesting, unique--and the dang thing works, too! I am dumbfounded, lost for words to adequately applaud your success.

Thanks Doc and Panzermechaniker (in the future P.M).

These may take a couple days. Some pictures show these ARVs with four of the pulleys/snatch blocks and most pictures show just two. If nothing else I may have a spare pair for another build.

Added a 4mm brass bushing to reduce the 2.4mm shaft I plan to use and to add some space between the pulley covers.

Made one copied it three times then modified the pattern for the back plate. The "X" gives me reference to the top side as I assemble them (in case my holes are not perfectly mirrored). Assembled all eight pieces and ran them through the belt sander.

This is as far as I'm going until I work out the front and rear straps and hooks.

Slight redesign. Shortened the back plate a little. The bushing in the sheave (pulley) is now a spacer and axle. Pulley has been drilled to float on the bushing. A styrene tube is added to the bottom and screws are used to fasten the bits.

First (and only so far) hook. I'm considering alternatives.
