where can i get or buy a pair of matorro king tiger gearboxes????
Trial and lots of errors...

If you can't find them on your side of the pond, check with Phil [Blitzkreig on this forum].  He does custom work on the KT's and I'm sure he can help you out.

Hi jumags are you after the original Matorro gearbox or are you going to swap it out for aftermarket ones. If you are changing the original gearbox I recommend using the low profile superstrong units available from Forgebear or Asiatam 3 to 1 units as the original gearbox is not very good. Hope this helps

will the super strong gearbox fit w/o altering things?

Hi The superstrong gearbox will fit ,there is a mod needs doing to lift the drive sprocket a little makes it look better ,its posted on here somewhere Im sure someone will say where it is ,not to hard to do.

you may find this conversion easy and cheap using standard HL metal gears for your KT.
1 remove the old gears
2 cut off pegs
3 make a floor that you can attach new gear boxes to
4 fix it in place - job done

you can now remove that annoying bulge on the front!

What type of gears are those JRC?
I picked up a KT cheap off ebay a couple of weeks ago and I think it's going to push it way to the front of the queue and become my next project.
