Hi

This tank is great. Forgive my ignorance but are you using a 3D printer and if so what model?

Another tank I have always fancied is the British Crusader Mk 1-3, if you are working through the time period. Some of the Italian early war tanks also fascinating.

After several years of plain standing on the shelf, my Matilda got coloured and all electronics.

Congratulations, Panzerjaeger66, on your success. How fine it is that you have created such an excellent model of a tank that is underrepresented in 1/16 RC. I admit that the choice of camouflage colors puzzles me, but the British must have seen some benefit in the blue. And to be sure, I do like the camouflage scheme! Bravo!

What a droolicious stunner! Since I built the tiny Fujimi kit in 1/76 back when I was a highschooler, it's been my favourite tank. Even read "Tramp in Armour" by Colin Forbes. Stars a Matilda so how could I resist?!

That Caunter camouflage scheme has been discussed quite a bit in the last few years. Interesting stuff near the end of this article after pics of the Imperial War Museum's light blue scheme Matilda.

Fantastic work, not enough Matilda around here, it's great to see one. I don't know if all the camo colors are accurate but they do fit the Matilda pretty well.

Are the metal track still the proto? I can't see them on Christian's site. I'll ask him if they are available.

Great job again!

Thanks guys for your great comments!
The paint job was done by a friend of mine; he made a great job at my Matilda :-)

Which metal tracks do you mean? The one´s at Christians site are no more available Hetzer tracks (he also offers Panzer III tracks instead).
The tracks in the pictures above are not metal; they are printed in very resitable polyamide. I´m not sure if I gave him the print data, but I will.

Thank you, I thought they were printed in metal.

Do you use Shapeways to print them in polyamide? I guess they're quite pricey.
But the look is well worth it!!
