The Matilda was the most impressive British tank in the early years of WW II and after 3000 Matilda was built, production ended in 1943. Almost 1000 of `em were shipped to and used by the Soviet Army.
The term of the report title occured towards the end of 1940 because the Italians had no weapon who could deal with the Matilda.
First step of the project was 3D design with CAD (Inventor):

). Love the build. Though the Matilda was slow and undergunned-later in the war-it had terrific armour, as the DAK tankers discovered when using captured examples. The Russians also applauded the protection it offered.
