Pete, you are thinking miles ahead of the others this is exactly what I want these for my 1/6 Tiger has the same problems as the 1/16 models and I would like to have a little bit of realism about the movement’s I also have a 1/6 RC Kubelwagen that could do with the acceleration slowing down this could be just the thing, still if anyone has some film I would like to see it running

Hi Rivet I thought you would want something like this for your 1/6 scale tank ,havnt seen any vidieo yet but someone should have some maybe Fleshy has some from Cobboton,You will have to be careful with such a large tank that you dont run into anything ,Dont no what will happen in a turn it maybe slowed not instant as you have it now ,if it does this it will be a very different to drive ,will have to go slow and sure just like the real thing. For the price I think its well worth giving it a go.

Pete,
My thought’s exactly but if I want to slow the tank fast there is always reverse and at £20 for a pair if it fails there is always my 2 1/16 Tigers plus the 1/6 Kubelwagen and when I get some spare time the 1/6 Scwimmwagen

I got two of them earlier this month still got to put them in a couple tanks it only works on tamiya tanks but it mite work on the DBCRC2  but what I have seen posted them that have already done it like it you just have to think a head early cause it makes your tank slow to start and stop .

Very brave of you Septon fitting to all your tanks , as i said in the begining on the other thread , always
think ahead, and trust me on this it,s not easy in the heat of battle, at swindon firing to the side and moving forward got it stuck, under some metal railings, and so collected, another battle scar,..........because even with full reverse on until the turnigy stops forward motion, it will not allow you to engage reverse...........
and this will be to your disadvantage.............
if all tanks are fitted then things are back to even keel......................

I was having the same problem at first. While testing it I kept running it into the cupboards in my kitchen. I've since made the deceleration quicker, but still enough so it has a decent roll to stop. You really do have to think ahead when driving with one of these in, but i suppose that adds to the realism, after all the actual crews couldn't stop on the spot.
I think for battles where it would be a major disadvantage because most other tanks dont have this, you can just pull the servo cable out of the regulator and plug it directly into the receiver, then you have normal Tamiya operation. The best of both worlds.
I'll definitely fit this in my KT as well, anything that adds to the realism/accuracy is a good thing in my book.
Cheers,

Hi Guys Just fitted mine and tested on blocks ,have a slight problem because of the Pershing start up procedure cant have it set to maximum have set it to the max so it will start ,have slow acceleration and a roll out there is a delay before reverse comes in(just like the real thing driver struggling to find reverse) and have the same in reverse.would have had a drive but the battery needed charging .it looks good on the blocks so hopfully it will drive the same ,this will stop the grandson racing around,he cant go full throttle forwards then slam it in reverse.will see how he likes it not going to tell him .

Hi Guys had it out today for a test run its great acts just like the DBC slow start and rolls about twice the length of the tank when power is cut at full throttle ,delay between forward and reverse.
Well worth the money makes the tank behave much more like the real thing .for those of you who have a Tiger or King Tiger you can have it set to give even more roll out and slower acceleration, because you dont have to worry about the start procdure, the Pershing you have to flick the right stick full reverse to get the tank to move, with the delay it is a bit fiddly to get it to run but once its running its great .
