Little help with 1:35 RC concept

I've been looking into making some 1:35 RC models.

My main problem is I'm not good with electronics mainly the Motherboard. Motors, gear boxes, turret etc I have some experiences with, but motherboards I have no idea where to begin.

A friend I know suggested using Tamiya kits, Like the internals of the 1:35 RC Panzer 4 or the RC Caterpillar track hull kit. the main issue with this is that these kits are really hard to come by outside of Japan and expensive, so it doesnt work budget wise.

But a thought recently came to mind. What if I use the motherboard of Taigen/HengLong RC Tanks? They're cheap and very easy to find

But, what would I need change/Keep in mind when doing this like. What to do for the motor connections and batteries?

I know I'll have to use the later model Taigen/HengLong motherboards, because those have the ability to work with servos which would be helpful with the turret.

Any advice from those with much more experience than me?

Taigen boards don't have servo capability (at least without special extension board). In case newest Heng Long there should not be a problem. You only need to find battery small enough to fit with board in the tank.

PS. How abut www.35rctank.com kits made for 1:35 tanks? MTC-2 Mini Tank Controller have servo recoil and elevation.

I do know about 35rctank.com and their stuff looks nice, but still seems a bit to complicated for me, plus theyre in the US and Im in Europe and well customs is currently a nightmare and Im looking to see is I can have some battle play in it

I do know the latest Taigen V3 boards do support Servos, you need a cable adaptor

so a HengLong one should be fine?

I'm in Europe too and they send me too without problem (they are from China not USA) I used their board in my Renault FT. Back then HL don't support servos.

Installation is very simple, you only need 4 channel trasmitter and receiver. But probably Heng Long will be cheaper.

as HengLong doesnt really support servos

For motors - there are cheap motors with small gerbox available. Also Tamiya Twin Gearbox.

For battery i.e. lipo 2S (7,4V).

For size I would still recommend the rc35 sized stuff

I don't know where do you live but in Poland Tamiya Tiwn Gearbox is available in every online modeling shop.
