I started by removing the bolts and drilled the new vision port/gun scope then filled the old holes and painted on a thin layer of Bondo Spot Putty. Then a light sanding of it gives the nice semi rough cast look, re-drilled the holes and put in the bolts along with some small nails for the the smaller bolts. Etched the box on the chin of the mantel and added that detail with more small nails and Apoxie Sculpt. Then the 4BO base paint and then the highlight on top. Next was the decals which says "Crush the Fascist vipers!" followed by a coat of hairspray which will protect the decals from the Magic Grime.

Got some more work done today, This is a mold of the correct Russian lamp, I poured it with clear resin to make the lamp look real.

Thanks! It really is a game changer, as far as time. I can with enough time and patience do a similar look using oils, washes and filters but once I perfected this stuff I never looked back. I still use some traditional weathering products but Magic Grime is used on all of my models and is available on eBay.

I'm always amazed by the depth of weathering you achieve with the Magic Grime, Jon. Another 10/10 result, the pigments are icing on the cake!

I actually didnt know they have a MG on the back of the turret........
