Be careful,Nicd and Li-on batteries do not charge is the same way,morevoer you need a charger suitable for both technologies :{ no question of using any charger otherwise :thumbdown: risk of explosion and fire,i recommend the purchasse,of a charger of this type :thumbup:

Here’s the one I use. Love it. Has more features than I’ll ever use but it’s nice to know it’s there.

It’s on sale. If you live in the USA get it now and never be sorry.

One more thing and I know you didn’t ask but if you make yourself a couple of 2 cell Lithium Ion battery packs you will increase your run time, decrease your charging time and they’re almost half the size of your Heng Long type Batteries. Just something to research and think about. I like to share the things that have improved my rc tank experience when the opportunity presents itself. :thumbup:
I also highly recommend reading this: https://radindustries.wordpress.com/201 ... batteries/

For reasonably priced Chargers I would always make my first port of call "Hobbyking"
http://www.hobbyking.com/en_us
An excellent selection of chargers which includes some of "Jimsters" :thumbup: picks which because you are in the UK will be much cheaper than buying from "IMAX" in the USA.

EDIT Sorry "Jofour" I should have acknowledged your chargers which are also to be found on "Hobbykings" website.

I’m not so sure about his using old laptop batteries but that might work. I’m not that smart. I prefer using new batteries.

This was recently discussed on my Tiger Tank Project thread so not to be rude but I’m just going to post this video for you. This is the one that taught me and I’m not very good at explaining things :{
The battery discussion is on page 20 of the thread and has other good info as well. If you get bored, check it out. I think you will like changing your battery type.
