Great seeing these thanks to your very fine work. The road wheels and sprockets are intriguing. Would like to see a bit more of them and how you mounted them. Are they 3-D printed or otherwise?

Very nice construction! I'm curious to see your gearbox better, I had tested on my kv1s a two-speed gearbox in the past, which worked very well but with two drawbacks, it took up a lot of space, and the pins of the output axis of the sprockets sheared when a small pebble got stuck in the track ...

Yes, this is 3D printing from PET-G. Well, except for the shafts - they are steelSCHWEREPANZER wrote:Great seeing these thanks to your very fine work. The road wheels and sprockets are intriguing. Would like to see a bit more of them and how you mounted them. Are they 3-D printed or otherwise?
Road wheels are simply put on bushings in the form of the most similar to the original and fixed with glue. This is an unassembled structure. Carbon-neural plain bearings are inserted into the bushings on both sides. The wheels are secured with a bolt with a washer and closed with a cap.
The driving stars are mounted on 6mm steel shafts and secured with perpendicular pins with a diameter of 2 mm. The pins are fixed with m3 studs under a flat screwdriver.
The leading stars withstand the load of the model and have never broken down. However, the guide wheels made only of plastic could not withstand the load on sand or snow. Therefore, the guide wheels are reinforced from the inside with iron inserts that are located in each spoke.
