metal idlers?

metal idlers?

ok I have metal gearboxes, drive sprockets and tracks, do I really need to buy metal idlers or will the plaggy ones be ok?
1 H/L Tiger in lots of bits being sorted

Yes,its best to insert metal idlers on a Tiger I. I put metal sprockets,tracks and idlers on mine but left the gearbox plastic as it was in top condition at the time.However,the sheer weight of the tank with the metal parts put pressure on the box and the plastic teeth stripped in no time at all!! Therefore if you are going to upgrade to metal parts,take my advice and upgrade the lot! Leave nothing to chance.!! ;)

you should go for the metall hull  8) for the HL Tiger. Got it for one of my HL Tigers, and I must say that I am very happy with this. Beside the metal hull advantage, it also gives you a quick click mount on-off system to get inside the tank.

Worth every penny.

cheers guys, not be going for the metal hull, not got the brass, but will be on the lookout for the idlers.

I'm running plastic idlers on all 4 tigers, you should be fine so long as you don't have excessive track tension
