Oil paint

Hi I’ve used oil paints to try and do some weathering when finished do I need to seal it with anything.

I tend to seal all my paint work with testers Matt varnish.

Oils can take longer to dry but then I always spray a very light mist of Dullcote. When that‘s completely dry I give it a second very light coat.

Here's a relevant video, perhaps- certainly an interesting one-on using oil paints with plastic models. The painter also uses Mister Super Clear varnish over the oils. :thumbup:

Thanks for the kind thoughts Mr 43rd, yes, we are away from the "Dante's Inferno" that is destroying so many lives, but the smoke from the fires both local and from the broader front is very heavy.
its just so sad to see how futile mans attempts to contain this apocalypse really is.
