Panzer IV Schmalturm

Post by SpikyTheCommander »

Hi all,

I've been thinking of doing a Schmalturm project for a while now, and would like to know if a taigen pz iv would be able to fit a taigen panther f turret as a simple swap?

Regards,

Hi,
a simple swap is not possible.
There is a modification neccesary, you have to remove the blue arrow market parts:

But will the turret rings match up after I have removed those parts?

Oh ok, did you use a metal edition Panzer iv or just a regular plastic edition?

Mine was on the the taigen panzer IV with metal tracks but the upper hulls are the same only difference is that mine didn't have the extra wheels like the Torro one

So if I was to purchase something like this: https://www.forgebeartanks.com/store/p5 ... rsion.html

Do you reckon it would work?

That won't be a problem, as I was thinking of having the camo on the turret different to the tank, to make it look like the turret has been salvaged and put on to the Panzer iv, a bit like something in this build: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=27875

However, do you know if the fittings and turret rings are different between the plastic and metal editions? If so, I may have to spend an extra penny or two for the metal edition :haha:
