Thanks for the websites. I will seriously look into the parts/prices and think on it. I am starting to wonder why heng long cannot mark their products as to what works with what.
I just received a rx18 V5.3 in the mail.
I binded a heng long transmitter ( silver label, black letters, operable buttons on top, left and right ) to the V5.3 rx18 and that worked!
All tank functions EXCEPT Airsoft shoot worked!
I assume the 8 pin conn has to be rewired a bit....?
Why do I do this to myself?

Re: Heng Long Panther G uncontrolled super spin
An update:
Firstly thankyou for the, I assume, a 5.3 Version pinout diagram.
The elev up/down operates when I toggle left/right on transmitter.
The turret left/right operates when I toggle up/down on transmitter.
No Airsoft B.B. Shoot operation.
There seems to be a connector rewire in my future.

Re: Heng Long Panther G uncontrolled super spin
I apologize for all this but it helps me check myself:
Looked again at the orig mfu from the Panther G. It is a 5.2 version.
The orig transmitter with the Panther G, black label with silver letters and dummy bottoms on top does not bind with the new 5.3 mfu I received the other day.
Used a transmitter, silver label with black letters and operable top buttons, which did bind.
But elev, traverse were toggle backwards and no Airsoft.
Ripped the 5.3 version out, put a 45 cal bullet through it....LOL.
Reinstalled the orig 5.2 version.
The orig transmitter connected right away, no binding necessary.
Everything worked except the orig problem that started me on this crazy path, uncontrolled super spin.
