The clip-on option would require the Panther Q sprue (I think?), and would also assume you were using the Tamiya barrel - the Heng Long / Taigen barrel is completely different.
If you are in europe try Axels here: https://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/kat ... -1-16.html
Otherwise in the US try the AAF Meseum gift shop.
The el-mod will be compatible with a Tamiya Emitter, its just a TV remote IR LED at the end of the day. In order to plug the Tamiya LED and sensor in to the El-Mod you either need to make your own wiring using these JST connectors - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Sets-JST-X ... 1438.l2649
Or just buy this adaptor:

For the battle unit itself, look out for them on Ebay. Sometimes you can get them as low as 66GBP from Hongkong, UK sources tend to be more around the 115 mark, Axels is out of stock for 120euros, and I have no idea about US prices these days.

Re: IR emitter help
The Tamiya would be correct, but the difference is rather subtle - they both start and end at roughly the same diameter, but the Tamiya has a longer muzzle brake for the same overall length, so the taper angle is more pronounced (hence a clip made for one might not clip onto the other). Its one of those "how much money do I want to throw at this" questions that only you can answer.
I have a bunch of HL Panthers, but only one has the 'correct' barrel - and only then because I wanted to use the Atak Zimmerit set, whose mantlet isn't compatable with a HL barrel. The other 4 stayed with the HL barrel and muzzle brake to keep the costs down - the average person would only really notice the difference if you sat them side by side.
