H L barrel

Post by afv »

Howdoo,
fitted a barrel extension to a tiger so i replaced the inner barrel with some ally tube, with the new piece the inner diameter is ok, tighter bore than the original but the outside diameter is a bit small so this is how i got around it,

wrap the end with plumbers ptfe tape keeping as close to the end as possible
just enough so it's a nice snug fit, not too tight, as well as increasing the dia the tape helps form an airtight seal

regards  Jack.

that's a neat way of sealing the gun tube to the breach

Hi Steen,
only one small problem, had to widen the hole in the muzzle brake slightly, the alloy tube is a slightly smaller outer diameter than the hl barrel and i don't think i got it central in the outer barrel, probably a few wraps of the ptfe tape would have done it
