Cheers, Lee.
Thanks, Lee! Yes, it's a good bit of kit. Right now, given our uncertain economic future, I'd be inclined to stock up on anything you need for future projects fairly soon (finances and partner permitting..). A bit of forward planning, eh?
That's my latest tip. :D

Well, I can't find either top hull on the forgebear site? Nothing but a taigen Pz 3 top for 70 quid.

As for the Panzer 111 upper hull option, instead of the StuG 111, Heng long Panzer have the Tauch Panzer 111 version as well as the standard for under £40...
scroll down this page for the delicacies on offer:

Thanks Roy  not 25 quid though.

I think I'd prefer the 3 top, that is if I don't find a complete 3 soon.

Now that I've looked at the Sturmgeshutz on the forgebear site, I don't think I got all the extra little bits with mine :(

Since I already have a StuG 111 from HL, albeit plastic, and a StuG IV in the pipeline, I've decided to use the value-for-money Taigen Pz 111 alloy hull for a Tauch Panzer 111 project.
You can buy the whole tank for around 190 Euros from Torro ..https://www.torro-shop.de/1/16-rc-tauch ... i-ausfh-bb, but this won't have the alloy hull.
Elsewhere you can get the HL plastic version for less, but I estimate my setup cost around £140, without the TX/RX. For that, I'd want to go with the latest HL 5.3 version anyway. The point is,however, that you get to assemble your own model doing it this way... :)
Taigen don't do a Tauchpanzer, so far as I can tell. So my admixture of HL and Taigen is one way to go.
The Tauchpanzer upper hull came from .. https://heng-long-panzer.de/en/spare-pa ... nd-3849-1/
On the plus side, it not only came in a complete HL Tauchpanzer box (handy for storage or resale); but also all the accessories, incl. snorkel etc., and manual:

I've always found HLP to be a dependable site, and can heartily recommend it.

Thus, this is what I have in terms of hardware. I intend to paint the Tauchpanzer up to a reasonable standard, and ditto with the StuG 111 upper hull. I could then make them interchangeable, maybe.
The Tauchpanzer has an interesting history, but more of that later.

There's some sort of named storm going on outside, just now, and a wee fountain has appeared in the middle of my garden (blocked field drain..and nothing more mysterious). This would be perfect weather for the real Tauchpanz :problem: ;) er.

Any more rain and I'll need my flippers when I take the dog out for a stroll 8O

A few morsels of Tauchpanzer history:

By the by, the latter website is stacked with B & W pics of all significant WW2 combat vehicles, and- IMHO- is one of the best out there..
