Those look like earlier marks of leopard 2, as the additional turret armour is missing. These are 2A4s, and the latest is, I believe the 2A7. Even if the Leopard were equipped with British Chobham Armour, like the Abrams, it'd still be destroyed easily by mines: it's a big weakness of modern tanks and AFVs.
Can't say I'm a big fan of the Turks, and Herr Erdogan. Pity it was a Leopard that got one up it, and not the new great Dictator. Not to slip into politics, but the old saying my enemy's enemy is my friend doesn't hold true here. The Kurds are fighting Isis- the enemy of Turkey (even though they- the Turks- have funded Isis..allegedly). Notionally, Isis is also the enemy of Turkey, and yet the Turks are fighting the Kurds  ..
Good luck with that then. Just don't bring the problem over here...

I do not think the Abrams of the Iraqi army are invincible either.

The performance and competence of the tank crew in combat would be very important.

The Iraqi Abrams' are the export version. They are less armored and don't have the fancy sensors the US versions do. Still, one of my favorite stories is of the 'Beast'. An Iraqi M1A1 that fought ISIL in the city of Hit so well, that the US advisors thought it was the act of multiple tanks. It drove all over the city on a rampage against ISIL positions and IED's. That was a good crew.
