Mato renew its Tiger 1

Mato renew its Tiger 1 with torsion bar and new track tensioners. Any idea? worth a buy?

Think taigen lower is better value and does the same job

The sole advantage to the MATO Metal hull is that it comes with a Metal Backplate and if you had gone through as many failed plastic locating tabs on the Taigen Plastic Backplate as I have you would see the value of it,
BUT if you buy the MATO Metal Backplate separately you can get it to fit the TAIGEN Metal Hull and have the best of both worlds.
The only difference is that the MATO Backplate is too short and the locating tabs do not align with the TAIGEN Holes but these are easy fixes.
Of course you could always buy "LUDWIGS" Tiger 1 Metal Backplate and save yourself the extra work But you would have to buy or make the Backplate fittings that are standard on the Taigen and MATO Backplates.

Taigen hull comes with the back plate fitted already

Yes Tom But it is Plastic and the tabs holding it to the Metal Hull fail which is why I fit Metal Backplates instead.

I like the "Taigen" Metal Hull but not the Plastic Backplate with its weak plastic locating tabs, which is why I favour "Ludwig's" or "Mato's" Metal Backplate which I fit on the "Taigen" Hull instead.

Woah there, I was just asking to make sure we weren't talking at cross purposes.

I've never seen people have this issue with a taigen tiger hull, myself I've had 4 with plastic rear and my impression is that it's very strong. But as they say your mileage may vary.

Tom it's not the high mileage it's my incompetance :lolno:
I will tinker all the time even when there is nothing wrong,
I still don't believe that Heng Long, Taigen or Torro can build a Tank as good as I can, :lolno:
