Rebuilt Churchill first road test...
You really have to admire the dedication (and bank balances too..) of guys like these. They're working in 1/1 scale, bringing tanks back to life. Here's a Churchill (still minus turret), like some mechanical Lazarus..bursting into life for our benefit.
Must say the interior looks fantastic, but then it's perfectly lit with no lid on the tank
This charitable group have posted several videos of the Churchill; one running alongside a Chally 2-- but this one is special as it records the tank's first movements since WW2
The engine sounds really sweet...

I really must get to the Isle of Wight one day, its not far, but they charge a King's ransom for the short ferry trip over.

They seem to have a fair collection of tanks and militaria
I flew into Bembridge Airfield many years ago with a friend who owned a Piper Cherokee. It's a scary approach to the runway from a Seaward direction, and across some fairly vertiginous scary cliffs.
